I'm an attorney, activist and community organizer, as well as an out and proud member of the disability & LGBTQ+ communities. My passion on the issue of ending abuse and neglect of youth with disabilities in schools and treatment facilities stems from my own experiences with involuntary medical treatment and bullying, and led me to go to law school. I've pursued my goal of using legal advocacy to address these problems ever since. I returned to Western Massachusetts in 2017 to begin my own law practice focusing on disability, youth and transgender rights. When I'm not working, I'm probably crafting, playing Dungeons & Dragons, listening to history podcasts, or watching Netflix with my partner and three feline roommates.

I am an aspiring social justice attorney that wants to change the world. As a Black woman living in the United States, I face a lot of adversities due to my race and gender. I couldn’t imagine myself ultimately forgetting those adversities, and not trying to see how I can make sure no one else faces them. According to Martin Luther King Jr., “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” I simply can not live with myself If I don’t try to pursue law to break the huge wealth gap in communities, stop discrimination against all, protect the mentally ill and disabled, stop police brutality and inspire the youth to make a difference locally. When I am not working with Shain as an Legal Assistant, I find interest in watching Netflix, watching YouTube, doing ancestry research, producing music, and creating inspirational podcast videos. I have made a promise to myself that I will dedicate my life to helping others.
